Definitions

These terms and conditions apply to every person registering for the international conference “Work in Progress” by the oikos Witten/Herdecke Chapter from 15 – 22 March 2020. 
 

Registration

Only completed registration forms will be accepted. An email will be sent after the receipt of your registration. The team reserves the right of a rejection of your registration at any time without giving reasons. In that case we will refund paid fee without deduction. A confirmation of payment will be sent upon receipt of payment in full.

Friend discount

The friend discount is not applicable on already reduced ticket prices (everything below 200 EUR). We reserve the right to reject the discount if we doubt your acquaintance. The registration and payment of the regular price has to be made before or in the same moment as the reduced price is payed. In the case you pay with one transfer make sure the bank transaction includes both participants full names as reference.

Payment

After payment the conference team shall provide a receipt for payment of the deliverables. Otherwise the conference team shall invoice the customer of the deliverables at any time after the placement of the registration.

Invoices must be paid in full, without deduction, within 10 days of the date of each invoice and to the bank account nominated by the conference team (sent via email).

All bank transactions must include “Participant fee Winter School” and the participants full name as a reference.

Cancellation policy

Registration cancelled will not be refunded.

If you are unable to attend the conference, we welcome substitute delegates attending in your place at no extra cost provided that we have at least 2 weeks prior notice of the name of your proposed substitute and have received payment in full.

Modification of the program

The conference team reserves the right to modify the program. No refunds can be granted in case of cancellation of speakers, lack of space in the conference room or any incidents during the conference which are beyond the control of the conference team.

Visa

It is at the discretion of the participant to make sure their visa is valid and up to the entry date in Germany.

Delegates who require an entry visa must allow sufficient time for the application procedure. The conference team cannot intervene on your behalf in case of a rejection or to speed up the procedure.

Insurance

It is the responsibility of the participant to provide themselves with appropriate insurance for travelling.

Confidentiality and announcements

The conference team is not liable to the extent that the delegate or any third party shares any confidential information or material non-public information belonging to the delegate or any third party at or after the event.

Confidential information is protected data and may be disclosed or used only to the extend such disclosure or use does not conflict with processing personal data.
