How could a sustainable way of life  look like? This question is present for Marla since years and the topic “Fashion” is one major part of it. Therefore she immediately wanted to be part of the oikos Winter School team. Her contribution to the project is shaped by her good abilities to organize and structure.

Hannah is very excited about bringing people from all different kinds of academical backgrounds together to work on this complex and controversial topic. According to her the biggest achievement of the oikos Winter School is providing a platform for creative and constructive discourse, that she hopes to help create with her ability mediate even the tensest arguments.

Felix is deeply interested in all kinds of politcal initatives who rally for change in our society, so oikos was a natural choice for him.
Although he is engaged in a variety of social projects already (e.g. teaching german to refugees or working as a paramedic for the German Red Cross), he is new to the topic of textiles and clothing. He enjoys networking and debating topics of politics, philosophy and society in general – So it’s worth to grab a coffee with him!

When Johanna travelled she realised more then ever before, that our planet is such a beautiful and fragile place to live.
How much we destroy the environment with our passion for cloths and fashion she only deeply understood by joining the project and organising this Winter School. She’s thankful to share this experience with you and is excited how the conference is enriching us to go out there and start to make a change.

Jan is our natural social networker.
He is driven by the idea of bringing people from different backgrounds together to create a real sustainable economy. While working in human resources in the social business sector in Berlin he became convinced that a different approach in our economic system is mandatory and possible.
