The oikos Winter School is a platform of exchange, a manufacture of ideas. The speakers being visionaris and social entrepreneurs, they will establish a basis for an exhilarating discussion about challenging and prospective topics. The oikos Winter School intends to empower student entrepreneurs to tackle shared global problems and to create social and environmental value.

Shape

Shaping visions of our common future.

The second day will provide you with inspiring lectures and debates to develop a shared vision of a global society that is aware of its unique resources and stimulates progress towards a global community that is built on solidarity and reciprocity. During the day, you will be offered insights in social start-ups. Sessions on social impact business and global challenges and opportunities will provide you with perspectives on opportunities and inspire you to think ahead.

Empower

Empowering young entrepreneurs to think ahead of the sustainability box.The third and fourth day offer the opportunity to develop your entrepreneurial skills. The third day ist dedicated to a creative method on innovation development. On the fourth day, experts will provide you with skills that enable you to implement your own project or to improve your start-up. You will focus on change management and sustainability concepts. Further, you will gain valuable knowledge on fundraising and social media marketing.

Create

Creating innovation to spread sustainability.The fifth and sixth day will be devoted to the design of concrete projects and business plans. The new skills and acknowledgements gained and reflected throughout the week will serve as source of inspiration. Sustainability consultants will offer advice and share their experience. On the last day, you will be given a platform to pitch your project or start-up in front of Alumni and experienced social entrepreneurs.

Networking

A project often enlarges its impact or increases the chances of being successful when it is integrated in a strong network and inspiring community. The Winter School offers you the opportunity get in contact with internationally known social entrepreneurs and other young project and start-up leaders. You will gain access to the oikos network as well as to the Club of Marrakesh.

Idea Spaces

Idea-spaces will allow visions and innovations to evolve, thus creating an inspiring atmosphere and motivating environment. By the combination of this inspiring contents the wide spectrum of cultural impressions from our participants a great discourse is formed, which is unique in its way. Idea Spaces will provide time to exchange ideas and experiences with student and social entrepreneurs. You will have the opportunity discuss topics of personal interest and challenges you are currently facing. Debates will allow you to reflect on the presentations and challenge your own assumptions and beliefs.

Reflection

At the end of the day, you will reflect the experiences you made during the day by using creative methods. This reflection will offer you the opportunity to extract your personal learning lesson of the day. The ideas and inspirational thoughts that come up in your mind will be captured in a small idea book. These notes will serve you as a base to develop your project or to improve your start-up later during the week.
